Scissor Spiders by Christopher Locke. These spiders were made from scissors confiscated by the TSA at airport security checkpoints.

My God! Just like in my nightmare! How did I foresee this. I have incredibly vivid dreams and often have trouble distinguishing them from reality at times. One day I awoke in the middle of the night, crying, telling my boyfriend I needed to go to the hospital because I was being bitten by mechanical, geometric spiders! They looked just like this.
